Coolfire hosted its annual Pinewood Derby party last night. As always, a good time was had by all. After last year’s defeat of our number 9 car, we had to step it up a notch. We had a need… a need for Speed. That’s right, I referenced Top Gun and Speed Racer in the same sentence. That just happened. And so did this…

Actually, the pic happened last night, but you get the point. There are so many things going on in this photo, I don’t know where to start… 1)  Mullins’ stache, 2) Annie as Speed, 3) Burns being the monkey/boy he is 4) or the look on Mike’s face.

Thanks again to the gents at Coolfire for hosting a swell event. And for those of you wondering, the Mach 5 took home third. Where was Sparky when you needed him?
