Box o’ Sleep
the idea of pods for napping, resting, and otherwise chilling out is not terribly new. while the Spanish have been nodding off every afternoon for centuries without need of a special space, the folks at The Arch Group felt that a little privacy would make sure there was no need to sleep with one eye open.
introducing the Sleep Box. designed to give busy travelers a spot to grab some z’s, the Sleep Boxes can be rented for a few minutes to a few hours from a central kiosk, issuing time-capturing key cards. along with wi-fi and LED TV, the pod also provides luggage storage and linens that change automatically.
while it looks like the first application will be travel hubs in Russia, the site speaks of other interesting applications, including outside on streets or in convention centers.
