It’s World Cup week and while we’re still debating where to hold our Friday morning edition of #foamfridays in order to catch South Africa v Mexico, we wanted to take a bit to showcase some of the best marketing to come from what Time called “the planetary pastime.”

By now, everyone has seen Nike’s Write the Future spot.  And while epic, it’s a tad predictable.

I’m not sure I follow the Daft Punk + Snoop + Beckham storyline…nor WTF Oasis is doing in the corner…but I love it.

ESPN, who along with their parent ABC and Univision dropped a meager $425 million for the US broadcasting rights, is combining two massive trends in taking the game to the people.  Enter: Match Truck.
