Since September 2010, Switch has served as Natty Light’s voice in various social media outlets, driving consumer interaction and engagement for this fun-loving brand. Key in the development and management of “the voice” was the understanding of the audience. Through consumer research and some gut instinct, Switch created a Facebook page for the people, not just the product.

Losing the over-produced product shots and contrived marketing messages, Switch created a persona and an attitude for the brand. The goal: a Facebook page you actually wanted to be friends with. This is the guy who knows everyone at the party, the page handing out the high- fives. Natty has become a partner in crime rather than your typical brand fan page. We allow consumers to take control of various elements on the page, and play to their sense of ownership of the brand message.

Working hard to keep the content fresh and authentic, we’ve seen a 22% increase in “fans” with over 2 million post views (up 128%) and a 48% increase in post feedback. Our success with Natty Light’s Facebook has catapulted their fan engagement to #1 among Anheuser-Busch brands; above Budweiser, Bud Light and Michelob ULTRA.
