FedEx Sea Turtle Rescue Brings Home The Gold

We would like to congratulate our friends at FedEx, especially Tom Browning, for winning a Gold Sabre Award for PR Project of the Year. A Sabre award is the largest in the PR industry and recognizes companies for projects featuring the highest levels of creativity, integrity and effectiveness. FedEx won for their campaign in Corporate Social Responsibility titled, ‘Sea Turtle Rescue—From Shell to Shining Sea’ and beat out campaigns from brands like Starbucks, Huggies and Yum Brands. The winning FedEx campaign helped carry a bigger load than usual, as many as 70,000 loggerhead sea turtle eggs. FedEx worked with the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation to help sea turtle eggs that might have been affected by the BP oil spill. The eggs were transported in specially-designed Styrofoam containers by FedEx from the Gulf of Mexico to the incubation site at the Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral. What an effort and what a proud moment for the team… oh and we like that logo too :)
Congrats again FedEx, we look forward to more great initiatives to come!
