It’s always bitter sweet when you see another brand executing something you proposed to a client 24 months ago…but because it’s Friday, we’ll ignore the bitter and focus on the sweet.
In this trailer from Nike Sportswear you catch a glimpse of a reto-fitted ice cream truck that will be hitting up streetball hot spots and tournaments to sell and demo gear. It’s an awesome idea made easier by the various new mobile payment platforms (Square, etc.) that once made “selling” a real hurdle for experiential marketers.
Most important here is the ability for consumers to not only see the goods…but also touch and in some cases, test the products. Something that even the smartest of smart phones cannot help with.
